The successful applicant will join a team tasked to manage the Event Streaming Platform for the bank. On-prem and in Cloud. You will be expected to continually improve the services through DevOps model, build the cluster and ensure the platform is running 247. Good at assessing, identifying and can own risk remediation across the portfolio as well as solving problems using technology Actively involved in continuous learning, experimentation and innovation while contributing to the definition & governance of our standards and best practices Happy to utilize modern tools, platforms and applications to deliver customer-focused solutions and leading-edge products Able to mentor and develop more junior engineers, leading high-quality outcomes to solve core business objectives Have solid hands-on experience in software development within an agile/DevOps environment Show the ability to deliver secure, high-quality systems Constantly are thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems Participate in on-call roster. Tech skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team; Knowledge of development and design methodologies Programming languages - Python, Java, Springboot, Restful API, shell scripting, Typescript Good Knowledge of day-to-day productivity tools, e.g. Git, Stash, GNU Make, PowerShell, Bash, AWS CDK etc Knowledge of Linux / Unix environment Docker & Kubernetes, AWS & Cassandra etc. CI / CD tools - Jenkins or TeamCity Kafka experience is desirable.
