The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028. Key accountabilities for the position As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction Site supervision and subcontractor management in performance & safety systems Procuring of materials and coordinating deliveries and works schedules Able to maintain planning/programming to assist senior project engineers with 4-6 week look ahead's Able to read/interpret design plans & drawings Participate in client/contractor meetings where required Financial assisting of cost tracking/invoicing of subcontractors on different packages of work Gain leadership exposure with supporting graduates and cadets Foster collaborative and effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders Maintain documentation and systems for quality, safety, environmental Support various packages or work not limited to roads, drainage, rail, earthworks, pavements, utilities aligned with you experience and project needs Required Skills and Competencies You will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or something similar You will have a solid foundation of site-based experience working on a range of civil or structural packages as those above supporting a major road or rail project locally An ability to prioritise your work, problem solve, learn, adapt and continually challenge yourself Well-developed communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders LI-LG1 ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023 & 2024 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
