Junior Electrical Engineer — Melbourne CBD, Melbourne

Description About the role We are currently seeking an ambitious Junior Electrical Engineer to join our friendly and busy Melbourne Electrical Team on a full-time basis. You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary team working across various building projects, including: health, commercial, retail, defence, data centre, industrial and educational buildings. The successful candidate will ideally have a good grounding in design and be looking to further develop their role and responsibilities. The successful applicant will support our senior and project engineers on a number of projects at different stages of completion. Day to day tasks would involve: Electrical power system design for a range of building projects Provide detailed designs, specifications and calculations Prepare technical documentation, carry out site inspections Bring value to in-house design/project meetings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Contribute to our company culture Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures To be successful for this role you'll need: Hold a bachelor of Electrical Engineering Ideally have around 2-4 years experience working in a consulting environment within the Building services industry Knowledge of LV power system modelling and light modelling software such as PowerCAD, AGI/Dialux Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines with well-developed organisational skills Positive, can-do attitude, team player and strong work ethic About Stantec The Stantec community unites approximately 30,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
