Iron Mine Contracting are currently seeking a Post Grad Mechanical Engineer to join our head office in Bayswater In collaboration with our associated partners, IMC have been delivering projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resources FMG, Roy Hill, Saracen Minerals and Newcrest Mining amongst others since 2013. We are currently seeking a Post Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our head office in Bayswater Fantastic Opportunity for Post Graduate Fulltime role & Immediate Start Competitive Remuneration Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be required to improve business processes, maintenance practices and equipment performance. Operational Outcomes: Contributing to the achievement of budgeted plant availability and cost control through constant review of equipment performance and developing proactive and remedial improvement initiatives. Ensure the active project task list is kept up to date. Manage internal and OEM product improvement programs. Conduct, monitor and report on product improvement trials. Collating and preparing information to produce KPI, budget and cost reports as required. Ensuring effective planning is obtained through communication with maintenance, supply, operations and management teams. Provide feedback and input into the planning process to include enhancements, modifications and updates are communicated and actioned. Provide quantifiable strategy recommendations based on historical trends, failure modes, component lives and economic options available. Conduct failure analysis, component strip-down analysis in conjunction with OEM workshops. Participate in safety incident reports and investigations where required. Technical Competencies & Experience Engineering and / or maintenance background with operational experience. Demonstrated understanding of contemporary maintenance philosophy. Exposure to maintenance engineering techniques and computerised maintenance systems. Understanding of business budgets, risk management, reporting. Communication skills Analytical skills and ability to review situations laterally and logically. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications PRONTO Experience (desirable) 3-4 years Post Grad experience (Preferred) Quality Assurance: Adhere to the Quality Management Plan.
