At Truck Tech, we're rewriting the rules, and we want you on board for the ride About the role: The Yardman/ Driver plays a vital role in providing diverse delivery and pick-up services tailored to each client's needs. They are responsible for transporting trucks, trailers, and equipment to specified destinations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Additionally, they actively contribute to vehicle maintenance tasks, including washing and upkeep of the yard. Given the physical demands of the position, maintaining good physical fitness and health is essential to meet the challenges effectively. You will be responsible for: MC Driving responsibilities include making deliveries to and collecting from various locations within Queensland for external customers and suppliers, which involves hooking and unhooking trailers. Coordinate the movement of heavy vehicles into and out of the workshop and assist with site traffic management. Perform washing, cleaning, and detailing of heavy vehicles and trailers. Respond to facilities, maintenance, and service requests, such as for workshop space, lunchroom, office space, and other site facilities. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the workshop, yard, machinery, equipment, and the building's exterior. Oversee the management of skips onsite, ensuring materials are disposed of in the correct skips to enhance recycling efforts. Help organize the yard parking layout, operate the yard tug, and arrange vehicles in work bays. Undertake other related duties as required To be successful in this role you will have: Capable of navigating through Queensland and adhering to NHVR regulations. Demonstrated experience working in a Facilities, Maintenance or Handyman role in a hands-on capacity. Skilled in reversing trucks and trailers and executing narrow turns. Competent in conducting pre-start checks and vehicle inspections confidently. Possesses a keen understanding to identify faults and damage in equipment and the workspace.
