Administration Officer (Switchboard) — Gold Coast, Gold Coast Region

The Role An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Switchboard) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Efficiently operate switchboard equipment by responding professionally to all incoming calls to the hospital Communicate regularly with all departments of the hospital to maintain accurate and current records Exercise judgment and initiative by identifying emergency situations from incoming calls and respond immediately Operate alternative communication systems to regularly liaise with hospital staff in the event of an emergency About you To be successful in this position you will require: The ability to undertake shift work, covering a rotating roster 24 hours a day, seven days a week including public holidays While not mandatory, previous experience working in a dynamic fast paced changing health care environment and under pressure is desirable Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full time Base salary ranging from $74 722 - $83 0397 per annum About Us Switchboard teams are located across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, based at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
