Classroom Music Teacher & Head of Woodwind — Glen Waverley, Monash Area

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified, passionate, and highly competent Classroom Music Teacher and Head of Woodwind for this full time, ongoing position commencing Semester 2, 2024. This position is based at our Glen Waverley Campus. Responsible for the development and coordination of the woodwind program, the successful applicant will be a highly skilled, caring and enthusiastic woodwind teacher, who has experience teaching general classroom and woodwind instrumental music from Years 5-10. They will also have: significant experience in motivating and leading instrumental music staff well-developed administrative and organisational skills Ideally Clarinet or Saxophone specialist proven ability to work effectively in a diverse and vibrant team proven ability to deliver effective Music curriculum through 21st century teaching pedagogies proven ability to communicate effectively and an ability to develop strong relationships in all parts of the community Experience in the Jazz Genre and Directing Big Bands essential Keyboard skills are desirable but not essential Please note that applicants must provide current VIT registration details to be considered for employment with Wesley College.
