Visit www.nyrstar.com Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre. The facility uses the RLE process for zinc production. Hobart's key products are SHG zinc, die cast alloys and continuous galvanising grad (CGG) alloys. In addition, the site produces by-products of cadmium, copper sulphate, paragoethite, lead sulphate, leach concentrate and sulphuric acid. This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location. Interested? THE ROLE Join our team as a Server Engineer, where you will play a critical role in supporting network systems, conducting cyber security risk assessments, and investigating security breaches and incidents. You will assist the Network and Cyber Security Lead and support the IT Project Manager in the planning and implementation of network and security projects. Key Duties and Accountabilities: Proactively identify, report, and assist in the control of safety and environmental hazards. Support the IT Project Manager as an SME and Project Coordinator in the delivery of small to medium-sized regional and group projects. Implement and maintain data communication services, components, and associated infrastructure. Maintain technical documentation, reports, and records. Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and rectify technical issues within agreed timeframes. Conduct acceptance tests and commissioning of related systems and equipment. Act as an interface between the organisation and suppliers/carriers/vendors regarding technical issues. Monitor the performance of equipment and services to established SLAs. Test, implement, monitor, and tune related software/hardware for optimum system performance. Analyse network traffic data and provide recommendations on performance improvements. Participate in daily regional IT/OT/Support meetings, pipeline projects, and site future Business System plans. Ensure related projects are delivered on time and on budget. To be successful in this position you need to have: A relevant qualification and at least 3 years' experience in Networking or Cyber Security Support, or Project Delivery roles. A solid understanding of computer operating systems, Office 365, Active Directory, and network technologies. Experience with Internet, Intranet, and Extranet implementations, and Microsoft Office client and server systems. Relevant Experience in Microsoft Office Client and Server Products including operating systems. Knowledge and experience of ServiceNow. Experience in Cyber Security best practices, particularly in an industrial and global business context. Cisco networking qualifications and experience. Industry-recognised cyber security qualifications. HP Server and related Storage qualifications and experience. ITIL Certification.
