About the role: The School Administrative Officer is responsible for providing administrative support and services particularly to academic staff within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences to enable the delivery of school outcomes and to ensure consistent processes and seamless support are delivered to the school. Reporting to the School Manager and working closely with the administrative support team, located across all campuses, this position requires initiative, exceptional communication skills and an eye for detail and accuracy. As the School Administrative Officer you will: Coordinate, support and provide advice in relation to business, research, administrative and operational issues Provide advice on the administration and use of university services and functions. Provide secretariat support and coordination for committees, governance body or regulatory function. Provide a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with university procedure such as stationary ordering, purchasing, marketing support and casual recruitment. Support university governance, including work instructions, procedures and guidelines to enable and support the delivery of operations. Coordinate and support local events, visitors, delegates, forums and activities. To be successful, you’ll have: Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
