The Opportunity The Boeing MQ28 - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electromagnetic Effects Systems Design Engineer based in Brisbane or Melbourne to support this exciting opportunity. Relocation costs may be covered for successful applicants. Responsibilities As a Senior Electromagnetic Effects Systems Design Engineer with MQ-28, you will: Coordinate, test, and verify EMI/EMC requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects Develop and maintain the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Control Plan (E3CP), Test Procedures, and Test Reports Develop system level E3 testing philosophies, plans, procedures and manage test events Perform EMI/EMC analysis and implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces Review supplier data and design drawings to verify and correct system design to EMI/EMC standards Lead EMI/EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to Boeing and/or Military requirements Perform HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test Coordinate, test, and verify TEMPEST requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects Contribute to the open, inclusive and innovative team culture that we have Develop and maintain capability roadmaps for E3 in future generations To be considered for the role (Required Skills/Experience) you will have Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline, RPEQ or equivalent Chartered Status desirable. 5 years experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464 Experience with military and/or EMC laboratory test procedures and protocols for establishing test configurations, monitoring testing and reporting Domestic travel will be required Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
