To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahsc About the Role You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Pharmacist/Pharmacist with duties as required under their direct supervision. This may include customer service, general dispensary duties, co-ordinating distribution of stock, managing stock shelf life and disposing/returning expired items and assisting in stocktaking of medical and dental supplies in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures. To be successful in this role, you will have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Certificate Qualified non-pharmacist Dispensary Assistant/Technician (Dispensary Technicians Course Certificate, or equivalent). 2 Years (full time) experience as a Dispensary Assistant/Technician within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent). Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients. About Lavarack Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. This facility provides primary medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to Defence members, and consists of a 24/7 inpatient ward. The standard operating hours of the centre range from 0700-1630 Monday – Friday depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts.
