Digital Integration Specialist and Design Teacher — Innaloo, Stirling Area

As the Digital Integration Specialist and Design Teacher you will be instrumental in harmonising technology with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, ensuring its seamless integration into the curriculum across the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. This multifaceted role involves guiding educators in embracing technology through concept-based inquiry, fostering critical thinking and innovation. Additionally, you will teach MYP Digital Design classes, cultivating students' digital literacy skills within the IB context. Key Responsibilities: Technological Integration to Enhance Concept-Based Inquiry Curriculum Enrichment & Innovation Instructional Leadership & Student Empowerment Core Competencies Required: Concept-Based Pedagogy: Proficiency in concept-based inquiry pedagogy, with the ability to design personalised learning experiences that foster deep conceptual understanding and transferable skills. Innovative Thinking: A creative mindset and a passion for innovation, with the ability to envision and implement transformative uses of AI to enhance concept-based inquiry and student learning. Technology Integration: Demonstrated expertise in integrating technology to enhance inquiry-based learning, with a focus on fostering digital literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills. This should include an understanding of and willingness to explore AI concepts and applications, with the ability to design and implement AI-enhanced learning activities and projects. IB Philosophy & Framework: A strong understanding of the IB philosophy, curriculum, and assessment practices, with the ability to align digital technology instruction with IB standards and practices. Collaborative Inquiry: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with educators to co-design and implement inquiry-based units enriched by technology. Innovative Thinking: A creative mindset and a passion for innovation, with the ability to envision and implement transformative uses of technology to enhance concept-based inquiry and student learning. Student-Centred Approach: A commitment to student-centred learning, with the ability to create inclusive and empowering learning environments that support student agency and advocacy. Culturally aware Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Teaching certification Experience teaching digital technology or related subjects Familiarity with IB terminology, approaches to learning (ATLs), and assessment practices. Continued professional development in concept-based inquiry, digital pedagogy, and IB education is advantageous.
