Role Overview: Applications are sought for the full-time position of Italian Teacher to commence in 2024. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to make language learning enjoyable and accessible to all students. Cultural Immersion: Create opportunities for students to explore Italian culture, traditions, and history through authentic resources and experiences. Foster a deep appreciation for Italian heritage and instil a sense of curiosity about the world beyond their own. Language Proficiency: Develop students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Italian, ensuring gradual progression and mastery of language skills. Provide opportunities for authentic communication and interaction in Italian both inside and outside the classroom. Cross-Curricular Integration: Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Italian language and culture across the curriculum, fostering interdisciplinary connections and enriching students' learning experiences. Explore opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration with Italian-speaking communities. Assessment and Feedback: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback for improvement. Employ a variety of assessment tools and techniques to accurately measure language proficiency and target areas for growth.
