About the opportunity Portable is seeking a Senior Experience Designer with a creative spark and a passion for social impact, to dive into digital projects that are directly contributing to positive change in Australia's justice and mental health systems. This opportunity will suit someone with extensive experience in UX and UI design, who can operate fairly independently from briefing to delivery. The role on this project is expected to be delivered between June and August 2024. Work with our team to transform complex briefs into innovative solutions Rapidly generate and iterate on ideas that solve a particular design challenge Craft visually compelling and accessible user interfaces Use Figma to set up a scalable component library About the ideal contractor We are seeking someone who brings the following skills and experience: Rapid prototyping - ability to take an ambiguous brief and develop wireframes or simple screens to illustrate a concept UX flows - ability to map out how someone will step through an app or website, including all the interactions, pathways, and data needed to be collected at each point Accessibility - an understanding of best practice inclusive and accessible design Figma - intermediate to advanced skills UI component libraries - a solid understanding of building and updating UI component libraries Experience writing design documentation Ability to draft and review User Acceptance Criteria Intermediate to advanced skills in graphic design and communication design We are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive and equitable workplace that celebrates diversity.
