Exciting opportunity for eLearning Design and Development Officer to join government agency on 6 month contract with possibility of extension. Start Date: ASAP – Pending cleared Police Check Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate to the Candidate: $63.93 - $72.83/Hour Super Location: Hume ACT WFH/Onsite Requirements: Negotiable on office/WFH days WWVP Required: Yes The eLearning Design and Development Officer is primarily responsible for the design and development of online learning resources, ranging from individual modules to short courses which support face to face delivery of accredited and non-accredited training. The eLearning Design and Development Officer will work across the services to build effective and collaborative relationships that support an operationally ready Emergency Services, therefore experience in design and development of adult education is highly regarded. The eLearning Design and Development Officer will support the Assistant Director, Instructional Design and Program Development in developing new training program materials in an online format and transitioning paper-based training resources to online. Under the limited direction of the Assistant Director, Instructional Design and Program Development, the eLearning Design and Development Officer will: Design, develop and maintain accredited and non-accredited training and assessments materials for delivery in an eLearning environment, with consideration of different learning styles and comprehensive abilities. In collaboration with training staff, review face to face learning to design and develop suitable online learning solutions. Plan and schedule realistic timeframes for development of eLearning modules, including, piloting, reviewing, and releasing. Establish and maintain effectives working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support training development across this government agency. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and strategies surrounding eLearning development, delivery, and evaluation. Demonstrate effective governance and accountability in training activities, supporting transparency of compliance with related policy, legislation, and national standards. Assist clients and stakeholders to develop, maintain and load learning content on the Learning Management System (LMS). Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated experience in organisational learning and development, including experience in designing interactive and engaging training materials that integrate adult learning principles and theories. Sound technical knowledge and experience with eLearning authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline/Rise360) including the ability to design, develop, test and review eLearning resources. Well-developed oral and written communication skills including demonstrated experience writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. Behavioural Capabilities Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, determine priorities and manage competing deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compliance Requirements/Qualifications Experience using Articulate 360 Storyline software is highly desirable. Experience in design and development of adult education with an understanding of Vocational Education & Training (VET) is highly desirable . Qualifications in training design and development related to adult education and training is desirable.
