About You This is a dual role where you’ll have responsibility for managing, mentoring and training less experienced civil designers. The Company This is a well-established Australian-owned consultancy with a strong reputation. They deliver high-quality civil engineering and project management solutions to public and private sector clients. Projects include major and minor roadworks and intersections, commercial, residential and industrial developments, remote indigenous community subdivisions and infrastructure projects. The Opportunity You’ll be the key person to mentor, train and upskill less experienced designers. You’ll also be involved with the design, technical support and project delivery of a wide variety of civil projects. No big company functional silos, bureaucracy or politics. Key Responsibilities As a Principal Civil Designer, you'll undertake detailed geometric design, documentation and 3D modelling of civil infrastructure to Austroads and Australian Standards. A major part of the role is training and mentoring other designers, to create a positive impact on productivity office wide. No two days will be the same. Key Skills & Attributes Ideally, you’ll have, as a minimum; Advanced Diploma Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 10 years of consultancy design experience A detailed understanding of Austroads & relevant Australian Standards Extensive experience with 12D modelling and AutoCAD (or equivalents) Extensive experience in geometric design of roadworks. Exp. in general civil infrastructure, land development, water, sewer, stormwater drainage. Ability to undertake designs, manage projects and a design team Impeccable verbal, interpersonal & written communication skills Experience leading, training and mentoring civil designers. Proven ability to engage with & foster strong relationships with clients Ability to deliver work on time & budget This is a rare opportunity and unique to the market.
