Mechanical Engineer — Menora, Stirling Area

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a highly sought after 4WD and light vehicle parts supplier and manufacturer to the mining, transport & fleet sector We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position with a highly sought after and respected 4WD and light vehicle parts supplier and manufacturer to the mining, transport, and fleet industries. With a local head office, you will be able to have decisions made effectively, rather than needing to have international processes, input and authorisation. The focus will be on the coordination and driving the research and development of genuinely better and effective new products. Key Responsibilities: Building case studies for product development Liaising with all internal resources to continue to build R&D pipeline and conduct research Liaise with manufacturers, Conduct site visits with the sales team where necessary to conduct research Communicate, coordinate & develop external assets, including manufacturing, testing & metallurgy partners Designing and developing mechanical components & systems Creating and reviewing technical documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications and reports Conduct measurements, testing and validation of mechanical system to ensure compliance with Brand Promise Filing of drawings and maintenance of library Keeping up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering Pass projects onto the Purchasing Team once product is designed. This may involve researching and initiating discussions with the manufacturer to ensure they have the capacity to deliver the right product Key Requirements: Bachelor or Master of Mechanical Engineering Degree from a university accredited by Engineers Australia Sound CAD design and usage capabilities (AutoCAD, Solidworks, SolidEdge) Ability to liaise with various manufacturers, testing and metallurgy companies to achieve desired outcomes Work hands on to conduct measurements and testing Int/ Advanced computer literacy High level of attention to detail Solid time management and communication skills Ability to interact with all levels of positions Experience with automotive parts would be beneficial, but not a requirement This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is seeking a permanent, full-time position with security and to utilise their degree with a market leader.
