Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region Canning College Administration Officer 00042451 Level 2, $70,432 - $75,516 per annum (PSCA 2022) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/SS891636 This is a seven (7) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 Canning College is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join its team. In this role you will assist in administering the school's financial, physical and human resources, in particular to international student services operations. You will provide administrative support for international and domestic students, and International Office and Student Services staff. You will enter and maintain student enrolment data, timetables and attendance. Duties may include generating routine reports, preparing lists and other information from the college databases, including academic statements, fee statements and completion certificates whilst undertaking reception duties, including responding to enquiries and requests for information from prospective and existing students, parents and education agents. The successful applicant should provide high quality customer and administrative support services, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work in collaboration with administration team, school support staff, school community and teaching staff. Canning College has been preparing students to achieve entry into Australia's best universities since 1982. As a specialist international education institution, it has established a strong reputation for providing international students with the personal and academic development and pathways required to succeed in tertiary studies. In 2024, Canning College also reinstated the enrolment of domestic students into its Year 10, 11 and 12 courses. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria): Well developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels and from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Knowledge and experience in clerical and administrative support. Well developed keyboarding and computer skills, including a working knowledge of word processing, databases, spreadsheets, digital design and social media content creation. Initiative and good organisational skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision to meet competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
