Job Description Griffith University Early Childhood Education Centres provide quality educational programs in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment. We welcome children from three months to five years from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday-Friday. Our dedicated team offers a nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment assisting the children of Griffith University staff, students and the wider community to grow and develop their potential. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for but not limited to: Support the Director to achieve the efficient and effective running of a childcare room. Build on the Early Years Learning Framework to ensure compliance with the National Quality Standard in caring and educating children. Ensure that parents are well informed about the programs offered to their children and work in cooperation with parents in the best interests of children. Build attachments with the children, nurturing, protecting and promoting their wellbeing. Provide a healthy, safe nurturing environment for children. Internally this position is known as a teacher. About you The occupant of this position will hold: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) with relevant work experience in the delivery of kindergarten programs. Suitability Card: Commission For Children and Young People And Child Guardian (Blue Card), Senior First Aid Certificate including Resuscitation, Asthma and Anaphylaxis. Salary Range Pay rate is dependent on level of qualification as per the Griffith University EBA. Kindergarten funding essentials: A minimum of 80% of the Base Subsidy must be spent on improved entitlements for the ECT and up to two diploma or higher qualified educators delivering the Approved Kindergarten Program.
