Candidates will utilise their expertise in the Engineering lifecycle to develop solutions across a broad range of technologies including Radars, Air Traffic Management, communication systems, and other equipment vital for safeguarding Australia's military airspace. The role has a strong Electrical/Systems Engineering focus and developed tasks will balance cost, quality and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to engineering processes set down by the company. Key Responsibilities: Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test, and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of Australian Defence Force's assets. Liaise, engage, and maintain close contact with Australian Defence Force customers, stakeholders, and relevant agencies. Develop Engineering estimates and change proposals using change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards. Develop and maintain technical publications, drawings, parts-lists, and produce Engineering, logistic and sustainment artefacts. Support of enabling capabilities, troubleshooting, and upgrading of capabilities. Collaborate with Engineering colleagues and liaise with other departments within the program such as Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Engineering Professional with tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline. A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience in a relevant engineering role within a process-driven environment (e.g. Defence, medical, manufacturing, mining). Demonstrated ability to effectively work within a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to deliver quality engineering solutions to budget and schedule expectations. Experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design. Excellent written and oral communication skills, fostering a strong mutual understanding between diverse internal and external stakeholders. Desirable: Effective priority-management skills. Understanding of Australian Department of Defence's operating environment and standards. Knowledge of integrated logistics systems, logistics support analysis, and maintenance requirements determination methodologies. Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed.
