Fantastic opportunity for a fresh Administration Assistant to get hands on experience in this generalist role at a well-known organisation. Company Overview Established in 1971, the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA) is the peak body for the urban development industry in South Australia. It is a not-for-profit membership organisation with representation across the nation and exists to support and represent the views of organisations that contribute to the creation of homes for South Australians including homebuyers, renters and those eligible for social and affordable housing. As a newly created role within the organisation, the Urban Development Institute is looking for an administration assistant to join their team. Role Overview Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Administration Assistant will be an ‘all-rounder’ who is able to get hands on with a variety of tasks. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for drafting, preparing and scheduling captivating and engaging social media content and activity and other outward facing communications for members and broader audiences, and organising and coordinating networking events. Other key responsibilities of this role include: Coordinating clients and scheduling meetings; Preparing agendas and taking minutes at committee meetings; Developing templates, reports and other documents as required; Other administration activities as required. Skills, Knowledge and Experience The successful candidate must be proficient with MS Office Suite and database management systems along with being a proactive and detail-oriented individual who enjoys getting hands on across a range of administration tasks when required. You will be a multi-tasker who is able to help organise and support the co-ordination of networking events for members of the organisation. The successful candidate should have prior experience writing, designing and scheduling digital content and activity as well as possess strong organisation, time management and written and verbal communication skills.
