The DASAS / SCAL Administration Officer will be responsible for providing administrative services and support for the daily and ongoing operational and strategic demands of DASAS / SCAL, as directed by the management team and Inner City Health Administration Manager. This includes, but is not limited to collecting accurate healthcare information, maintaining accurate documentation, handling general enquiries, provision of customer service, updating and managing patient database systems, diary maintenance, secretariat meetings and other administration tasks. About you: We are seeking a skilled and energetic Administration Officer who possess a passion for person centred care. Selection Criteria: Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia Demonstrated high level organizational skills and ability to show initiative to prioritize and manage workload effectively and meet deadlines Highly developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and a typing speed of minimum 50 WPM. Experience in working in a health care setting, including knowledge of patient administration systems and the ability to be compassionate and demonstrated sensitive approach if/when dealing with patients and carers, including a commitment to maintain confidentiality at all times. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (both face to face and by phone) with awareness of cross-cultural issues and ability to interact and engage appropriately including with those from marginalized backgrounds Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose, prioritise, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
