You will provide specialist advice, design, review, report, and develop standards in accordance with project objectives and stakeholder requirements, ensuring that designs meet stakeholder needs. The role entails overseeing design tasks for high-voltage primary systems, encompassing single line diagrams, substation and switch bay layouts, lightning protection systems, earth grid design, civil design integration, and related high-voltage calculations. About you Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience in all of the functional high voltage design areas of transmission network substations; fully proficient and has specialised expertise in a range of technical processes and procedures. Working knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards and Codes of Practice relevant to substation design. Knowledge and understanding of National Electricity Rules relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the preparation of designs and specifications. Ability to complete, review and approve project designs with external consultants. Able to lead a small group of Professional and Engineering Officers in the completion of designs to meet project requirements and timeframes; may act as a team lead for projects providing subject matter guidance or facilitate the work of others. Proficient in the use of engineering business systems and design software, preferably Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation, to develop designs. Working knowledge of design quality assurance processes to ensure that designs meet quality requirements. Ability to promote a high standard of professionalism, effective communication, and personal integrity within the design team. Ability to work in a team environment.
