They produce state-of-the-art equipment used on mine sites, and food processing plants as well as BULK storage solutions. They require Mechanical Designers, Senior Draftspersons for their team in Sydney, a 3D design specialist with at least 5 years of experience producing medium to heavy-duty equipment drawings. Key responsibilities: Positive proactive attitude to design. Participate in product design including product specifications, material selection, and 3D CAD designs of equipment. Clarify and improve existing 3D designs by liaising with internal sales teams, external suppliers, logistics departments, aftermarket professionals, and manufacturing and production staff. Preparation of 3D models and manufacturing drawings to be passed to machinists and fabrication specialists on the shop floor. Assist and identify new processes where needed for product and quality development and improvement. 3D CAD modeling of machinery, mechanical components and p[arts like motors, belts, drive systems, gearboxes, valves, pulleys, side plates, brakes, couplings, brackets and much more Manage technical data and BOM for all products. To apply you will have: Full working rights in Australia. A TAFE and 10 years of design experience or degree and 3 to 5 years experience. CAD savvy, ability to pick up new software quickly (Solidworks, prosteel, Creo). Ability to record own BOM’s and write accurate reports. Team player. Excellent communication skills. Salary: Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, which vary with experience, $85,000 to $110,000 Super.
