Teachers and School Administrators employed at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive of $10,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school. About the Role The successful applicant will ideally display the ability to provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs as outlined in the Western Australian Curriculum, employing research-based high impact teaching strategies. It will be highly regarded if the successful applicant can develop a supportive and positive classroom environment, possess effective interpersonal skills and ideally be able to work collaboratively and effectively in a professional learning community setting. The successful applicant should display an ability to elicit positive student behaviour using an educative approach. You should have a commitment to inclusive education and a strategic approach in planning for improved student outcomes. The capacity to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of students with a range of achievement levels, language backgrounds and learning difficulties will be highly regarded.
