HIS Receptionist — Richmond, Yarra Area

Job Description The Health Information Services (HIS) department is seeking a highly motivated and excellent receptionist to join our Richmond campus on a permanent full-time basis, working our operational business hours from 08:00am-04:06pm, Monday through to Friday. Please note, you will be required to work onsite in this position, there is no capability to support working from home in this role. Responsibilities/Duties: Monitoring and answering email requests regarding patient information. Answering telephone enquiries. Responding to information requests in accordance with the department’s release of information guidelines. Assigning patient identification to documentation received by internal/external stakeholders. Performing general department administration duties as required. To be successful in this role… You will have: Previous experience in a customer service role and excellent customer service skills with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to effectively coordinate the various processes and steps involved in the process Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner, and an ability to clearly and coherently convey relevant information to all stakeholders, both internal and external to Epworth Intermediate working knowledge of the Microsoft Outlook Suite (primarily Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office) A solid work ethic, and an ability to work autonomously within a team in order to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner Proven high attention to detail and diligence to ensure correct patient information is released at all times Flexibility in a changing work environment with an openness to changing processes and procedures Desirable (non-essential): Previous experience as medical receptionist Previous experience with a Patient Administration System (iPM, WebPAS, TrakCare) and a Scanned Medical Record (BOSSnet or CPF) Working knowledge of Medical Terminology Position Description Inherent Requirements About Epworth Richmond Epworth Richmond is a rapidly growing, fast-paced and dynamic teaching hospital where you will work alongside highly skilled practitioners in all areas.
