Made up of several specialised teams including commercial, finance, legal and risk, these are the professionals who drive our business performance, while always ensuring we've dotted our I's and crossed our T's The Opportunity Our in-house commercial lawyers combine their enthusiasm for law and interest in technology with their business acumen. You will join an inclusive, high performing team who are serious about their work but not about themselves. Our Legal team provides advice across a range of commercial contracts, consumer, IT, IP, privacy, financial services, disputes and employment law. As a member of our in-house legal team, you'll support MYOB's Australian and New Zealand operations across a broad range of commercial law areas, cutting through the legal jargon and to achieve practical and business-oriented results. We're looking for a commercial lawyer who is eager to apply and improve their legal skills at an innovative technology company where they can be themselves at work. We will work with you to tailor the role to suit your skills and experience. We are open to exploring part-time options if you have the right skills, experience, and attitude. In any given week, your work might include Working with stakeholders at all levels of the business to review, draft and negotiate various types of commercial contracts Advising on the launch of new products and services, including providing regulatory guidance and drafting terms of use Helping to identify and reduce risk across the region in relation to data governance, privacy, cyber security, consumer and electronic communications laws Participating in cross-functional project teams, working with members of MYOB's product, technology, procurement and marketing business units, as well as the executive and senior leadership teams Working with your legal team colleagues to find new ways to improve the way that we provide legal services to the MYOB business units Developing your professional skills through MYOB's talent development program, as well as formal and informal legal professional development opportunities What we're looking for A law degree and a current practising certificate in Australia At least 2 years' post-qualification experience Prior experience in one or more of these areas: commercial contracts, technology, financial services, corporate advisory, intellectual property, privacy, or consumer law An interest in technology, innovation or legal operations Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills Our Culture & Benefits Our values have stood the test of time.
