Civil Engineer — Rowville, Knox Area

The Client Buildbourne Pty Ltd is a building solutions company located in Rowville in VIC. They are equipped to handle entire building process from obtaining planning permits to the design and construction. They seek an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team. The Role This is a full-time position and is duly remunerated at an annual salary between $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Control the project cost and certified contractor/subcontractor running bills, measure the drawing and calculate quantities and prepare BOQ. Study project concept, architectural, structural drawings, and methodology. Attend meeting with the client and the contractor to discuss project progress and quality of work, preparation of progress report during the project. Ensure inspection and testing of construction materials reports. Organising materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean. Estimate quantities and cost of labour, materials and equipment to determine project feasibility. Analyse survey reports, drawings, blueprints, and other data to plan projects. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site Complete quality assurance and providing feedback to the team. The Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role. At least 2 years of proficiency in applying civil design concepts using 12D software Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design. Experience in construction management and contractual administration to AS/NZS 4801 is necessary Must have worked on large scale national infrastructure projects within Australia Great leadership and organizational skills. Excellent project management skills. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects. Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to handle pressure well to ensure the project's programmed activities are delivered within the established time targets Strong verbal and communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise English At least 2 contactable work referees
