6 months CONTRACT Onsite - 5 days a week at Balcatta, Perth Daily rate: $600 (including Super) ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join a dynamic team and manage the critical infrastructure of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, with a focus on backend operations rather than end-user support. This role involves maintaining and updating servers, managing antivirus software installations, and potentially overseeing a migration from a VMware-hosted platform to Azure. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for migrating file servers, potentially utilizing SharePoint or similar platforms. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Patching and updating servers to ensure optimal performance and security. Installing and managing antivirus software across the organization's infrastructure. Handling backend operations and infrastructure tasks, focusing on server administration. Collaborating with teams to plan and execute a potential migration from a VMware-hosted platform to Azure . Managing the migration of file servers, potentially utilizing SharePoint or similar platforms for seamless transition. Providing Level 2 to 2.5 support for technical issues and escalations. MORE ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). At least 5 years of experience in a System Administrator role, with a focus on server administration. Strong technical skills in server management, virtualization, and cloud platforms (VMware, Azure) . Experience with antivirus software installations and management. Familiarity with file server migration processes, preferably with SharePoint or similar platforms. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Good character with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
