DIRECTORATE: Business Growth & Community CLASSIFICATION: Grade 8 SALARY: $63,649 to $70,014 pa 11% employer contribution to superannuation REPORTING TO: Team Leader Libraries & Museum EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Temporary Full Time - up to 24 months THE POSITION: To manage the day-to-day business and operation of the Retro Lane Cafe, located at the rear of the Albury LibraryMuseum, and to ensure the provision of a high-level client and customer experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide a high level of hospitality management expertise in food and beverage preparation, handling, and presentation Management and supervision of cafe staff including timesheets and rostering, monitor staff performance and development, motivate staff, and maintain team harmony Management of cafe staff and operations Work collaboratively with the AlburyCity Youth Cafe Program Coordinator and Youth Cafe Programs Officer to achieve the goals of AlburyCity Implement and maintain stock control and purchasing procedures Form business relationships with suppliers and obtain the best possible outcome for AlburyCity. Operate POS registers for Cafe sales, including reconciliation, daily banking, eftpos and change bags. Manage cleaning and hygiene procedures of all cafe areas Provide a high level of customer service to all clients and stakeholders Ongoing evaluation of products and prices and change as required to ensure sales targets and margins are met In collaboration with the Team Leader, Retro Lane CafT Program Coordinator and Communications and Marketing Team develop engaging social media content that assist in the promotion of the Cafe, including increasing external catering opportunities and exploring new markets Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
