Salary packaging to maximise your take-home pay We have an exciting opportunity for a Cafe Assistant to join our Residential Care Team at The Pines Lodge, North Plympton. About the role In this position you will work as part of a cohesive team, undertaking general catering duties for the provision of high quality catering services. Daily duties include but are not limited to: assisting in the preparation, distribution and serving of all types of meals and drinks for residents, staff visitors and for functions. observing food safety, HACCP, quality and hygiene standards as well as adhering to Southern Cross Care policies and procedures. undertaking general kitchen duties and assisting with stocktaking/requisitioning of supplies. reporting any feedback from residents’ on their satisfaction or otherwise for meals provided. working positively and collaboratively with other staff to provide person centred food services that are safe and effective. About you We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: Demonstrated experience in the preparation, delivery and serving of meals including Barista experience (i.e. coffee making). Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Commitment to continuous improvement, creativity, innovation and meeting the needs of residents whilst striving for excellence. A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role. Relevant qualifications in Health support services and/ or Food Safety would be desirable.
