Our Avionics (AVS) team designs and builds products to optimise pilot capabilities - from helmets that use head movements to control weaponry, to aviation-based navigation systems. A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Engineering Director to join the Avionics team. The AVS Domain Engineering Director is responsible for the management of the people and technical elements of all AVS engineering activities. Assure engineering accountability on bids, products and projects deliverables, including the best allocation of resources to bids, products and projects Ensure engineering competitiveness by defining and driving the competitiveness improvement plan and the maturity growth of the engineering organization. Ensure knowledge capitalization and sharing. Conduct workforce management, including forward load management, career development, recruitment, and outsourcing. Champion Product Line Engineering practices. Motivate, and challenge teams and foster local innovation. YOUR EXPERIENCE To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience: Undergraduate Degree or relevant industry qualifications Experience in PLM support Experience in the development of software scripts to manage data Experience with the development, modification and management of data schemas.
