Our Powder Coating team is currently searching for an energetic Sales Manager to take the lead in New South Wales, Australia. As the State Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing the State Sales Plan, aligning with business principles to ensure our sales activities meet the Australian Sales Strategic Plan. With a focus on Powder Coating, you'll lead the way in achieving state sales budgets, growing market share, and elevating profitability.Reporting to the Country Sales Manager, you will be responsible for: • Develop a state sales plan, and implement these activities for the NSW business to grow market share and achieve state sales budget. • Develop state sales budgets and submit to Australasian Sales Manager for review and inclusion in the Australian Sales Plan. • Achieve sales volume, value, and gross margin targets, contributing to the success of Powder Coating within AkzoNobel. • Collate a monthly state sales report, using the sales format provided, so that the Australasian Sales Manager can monitor conformance to the Australian Sales Plan. • Develop and maintain customer relationships within the NSW powder coating market in order to maximise new sales opportunities, improve market share, and profitability. • Gather market intelligence and assess the opportunities for Powder NSW, in accordance with AkzoNobel Code of Conduct, to gain new potential customers or increase market share. • Ensure sales management programs are in place and are used, according to Mercuri/Rogen tools and processes, so that customer relationships are satisfactorily managed and assessed. • To follow the HS&E plan, activities and targets at Wetherill Park in accordance with WISE and HS&E planning requirements and AkzoNobel local & global HS&E policies.You will bring to this role: • Demonstrated track record of driving sales growth, with a specific focus on powder coatings. • Chemistry or engineering qualification desirable. • Solid background and experience within the coatings industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector. • Familiar with the technical aspects of powder coatings, including product specifications and application methods. • Adaptable, able to navigate changes, and proactively adjust strategies to stay competitive. • Proficiency in CRM tools and strategies. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.What We Can Offer: • Career Growth Opportunities: We're committed to helping you reach your career goals.
