Security Administration Officer — Canberra Region, Australian Capital Territory

The Security Admin Officer position is part of a busy team responsible for undertaking security clearance maintenance activities. You will be responsible for general administrative support and coordination of documentation relevant to maintaining security clearances. Security-related experience is not required - ideal candidates will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task. The successful applicant will receive relevant on-the-job training to exercise discretion and sound judgement in providing general security advice to stakeholders based on legislation and policy. You are required to organise workflow and make sound decisions relating to the development and delivery of the security clearance maintenance capability. The role involves liaison with internal and external stakeholders, with successful candidates being expected to follow set processes and work well as part of a team. The key duties of the position include KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks: Work as part of a team contributing to the development and delivery of the clearance maintenance capability; Accurate data entry and maintenance of digitised records; Contribute to compliance, including risk management and mitigation; Provide general security advice to internal and external stakeholders which aligns with best practice, policy and legislation; Support best practice workflows within the team.
