We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee. The sterilising department at East Melbourne is looking for experienced part time Sterilising Technicians, ideally with loans experience. The department services 11 Operating Theatres, Uro/Gynae Unit and some external customers. The Department covers a variety of specialties including Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, General surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Opthalmology & Breast surgery. Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to); Collect, clean and decontaminate equipment used by the Operating Suite and Clinical units on a daily basis. Load and unload ultrasonic, instrument washers, dryers and sterilisers according to instructions and general duties list. Inspect and reassemble items as required. Prepare, check and package instruments and loan sets to be sterilised. Prepare operating theatre set-ups for the following days surgeries.
