Day to day, your role will be to develop and coach a regional team of sales representative as well as manage designated account groups in the Pet Specialty Retail channel. Your passion, skills and love of developing teams and people will be key to your success in continuously strengthening the talents of the team through selection, coaching and development and help to build an inclusive and high performing team. Reporting the Pet Specialty Retail Director, as an integral leadership role, the Field Sales Manager will work with the sales representative to support growth and compliance within our buying groups and will also work with demand planning to support forecasting for our independent channel. A large part of your role will also include management of Account groups in the Pet Specialty Retail channel, hence you will be all hands-on deck as you work with the customer development executives to support growth and compliance within our buying groups and with demand planning to support forecasting. What would be your key responsibilities? Train, mentor and develop sales representative associates across Australia. Develop and implement the long-term strategies to grow assigned accounts, defining growth levers, must win battles and key market and retailer priorities. Manage the budgeted Gross & Net Sales Volume of key accounts and monitor the financial performance and revenue profit targets using financial data. Conduct periodical reviews with the key accounts to analyse past performance, develop and align plans, and review and adjust account development strategies. Regular interaction with external stakeholders to anticipate industry landscape and competitor developments ensuring access to growth opportunities. Own the trade spend budget for assigned key account customers and develops the promotional program to enable delivery of the financial targets. Manage the budget and spend levels of the team, taking responsibility for the performance of Independent accounts within Australia. What are we looking for? Minimum 5 years Field Sales Management and Account Management experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and a passion and success for building effective teams. Strong negotiation skills to achieve mutual outcomes and channel growth. P&L & budget management experience. Degree qualification in Business or Marketing preferred but not essential.
