VDI Engineer working with VMWare in End User Computing Team Sydney CBD location, hybrid WFH arrangement 6 month contract, $550/day inclusive of Super Our client is seeking an experienced VDI Engineer for their End User Computing Team to support their Virtual environment for all end points and related infrastructure. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver best in class end user experience. You will be passionate about customer service, take ownership of tasks and drive outcomes whilst working alongside IT Teams, Vendors and colleagues who are running the platform with you. You must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and an exceptional communicator, having outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across the company. To be successful in this organisation you must be a self starter, able to work independently and keep focussed on the “big picture”. Responsibilities: Support and manage the VMware VDI environment, covering Virtual machines and VDI end points. Work with Dynamic Environment Manager and package applications using VMware App Volumes. Develop and maintain SOE images for deployment to diverse hardware platforms. Manage BAU and Project requests coordinating with Security, Network, IT Support Desk, vendors, and other stakeholders. Raise Change Requests, troubleshoot and resolve Major Incidents & escalated issues within SLAs in adherence to company standards. Required experience Relevant certifications or degree in computer science or IT. Demonstrated outstanding communication & cross-team collaboration skills. VMware Horizon suite and PowerShell scripting. Packaging applications using VMware AppVolumes. Group policy management experience through VMware DEM. Some experience in Essential 8, Security & Vulnerability management with hands-on experience on tools such as Airlock.
