Senior Civil Design Project Manager South West Sydney, NSW $60 - $67 per hour Super 35hours per week Flexible working 12 Month Contract We are looking for a Senior Civil Design Project Manager to start before the end of May in South West Sydney on a 12 month (minimum) contract. The focus will be overseeing and managing the delivery of State Government funded, multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects that can be complex in nature. As a Senior Manager, your primary focus will be overseeing the design teams & project management teams in order to deliver major road upgrade(s). The role offers flexibility with a 35 hour, Monday-Friday week where hybrid working from home, office and site are suitable. You will be paid on an hourly & weekly basis. As the Senior Project Manager, you'll dive into the pulse of major open space and building projects. Your role is pivotal in managing the design and construction of vital infrastructure, working closely with external design consultants and contractors to ensure excellence in every detail for the changing urban landscape upgrades. Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire external design teams with visionary direction. Drive project management initiatives to exceed expectations. Procure top-tier external consultants and contractors for seamless project execution. Elevate customer service standards and uphold core values of innovation and excellence. Collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate strategic outcomes and foster community connections. Champion risk management strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilise your expertise to optimise project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure WH&S is high level and measures in place to ensure safety at all times. Regular team update meetings to ensure on track and challenges addressed and overcome quickly to deliver results on time & within budget. Essential Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Extensive senior experience in engineering project management, particularly major road upgrades and design. Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and timelines, with exceptional communication skills. Strong teamwork ethos and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Skills: Track record in managing large-scale open space and building projects. Expertise in negotiation, dispute resolution, and community consultation.
