Provide administrative support to the academic staff for the Faculty of Medicine & Health during the examination period Great opportunity to contribute to a more efficient exam marking procedure Casual Part time contract to start on 3rd June - 17th June 2024 Rostered work 3 - 7 hours p/day Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm HEO 5 Step 1 $57.08 per hour excluding Superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney is seeking three Education Design Support Officers to assist during the final exam period with scanning and reconciling exam papers, providing a more efficient exam marking process for university teachers and students. Your key responsibilities will be to: perform the task of counting, reconciling, and scanning exam papers, creating digital files. ensure the quality of scanned documents and upload the PDF files to a secure website. look for inconsistencies or discrepancies and report any identified errors promptly. be a great communicator, keep your team members, peers and managers up to date with progress, finding solutions. be highly accountable for ensuring and maintaining the security of all aspects of this work About you you should possess prior experience in managing digital files, including proficiency in naming and uploading files. you should have a knack for accurate record-keeping, enabling you to effectively compare physical documents with their digital counterparts. attention to detail, accuracy and being highly accountable for ensuring process security are crucial qualities for this role. ability to safely perform manual-handling tasks related to exam papers please note that this position is not available to undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students of the University.
