Asset Engineer — Rockdale, Rockdale Area

Primary Location NSW - Rockdale Summary Exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Engineer to join our ConnectSydney Joint Venture. Based in Rockdale, NSW About the Role ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. The Asset Engineer will support the Contract Manager and Network Needs Manager in the development and validation of maintenance strategies and tactical works program through the collection and assessment of asset condition data through our Asset Management System. The Asset Engineer will develop & maintain procedures to ensure a consistent and sustainable approach to asset information management across ConnectSydney. Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Rockdale, NSW Reporting Line: Asset Manager Key Responsibilities Assist in managing physical assets in order to achieve client and corporate objectives and targets Forward works planning and delivery of the tactical asset management plan to ensure we manage cost, risk and performance to meet the required service outcomes Adopt a data driven approach in the development of asset management lifecycle models Ensuring asset related information received from the asset inspectors, maintenance delivery teams, customers and other stakeholders enables decision making Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the asset database Responsible for measurement of achievements against KPIs Assessment of future asset management strategies and plans Establishing and maintaining clear communication in relation to asset condition and risks with key stakeholders, including the client representatives Contributing to the continuous improvement of the asset management system About You A degree in engineering (civil, geotechnical, mechanical or other relevant technical discipline) Experience and understanding of asset management in an engineering or infrastructure environment Understanding of ISO 55001 Asset Management (desirable) Understanding of asset management processes and data standards Good written and verbal communication skills Results driven with ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated capability with MS office suite data systems About Us ConnectSydney is an equal opportunity employer who believes diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens relationships and benefits our people, clients, and communities.
