Based in Melbourne, we are looking for a passionate UX/UI Designer to help build a customer-led culture. You will support the team in designing solutions that are both functional and appealing whilst addressing our customers' needs. You are curious and a self-starter, willing to take people on the journey with you. You are a team player but also can work independently. You'll get to work on a range of new initiatives like building and optimizing a new website and a new mobile app platform. You will have the opportunity to hone your skills as a designer. You will be responsible for ideation, developing concepts, conducting user resting and designing the end-to-end experience. You will drive a focus on continuous improvement, always putting the customer first whilst balancing commercial outcomes. To be successful in this role, you must have experience with design software and wireframing tools. You will also have a portfolio of professional design projects that showcases the use of strong visual principles in designing inclusive and accessible experiences on web/mobile applications. Work directly with Product and Marketing teams to improve customer experience across all touchpoints; Collect and evaluate user requirements with the help of product managers and engineers to create high quality design solutions for responsive desktop, tablet, iOS, and Android solutions; Execute all visual design (user interface) stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering in accordance with brand guidelines; Design new features as well as iterations of existing features, using sketches, wireframing and prototyping to share your vision; Collaborate with your team, customers, and stakeholders to both create and communicate digital designs and design decisions; It is encouraged to present work and advocate for feedback on design as a part of our Agile ways of working; Ensure consistency in your designs to both the overall brand as well as established UX/UI patterns and support the development of design systems (GEL) and style guides; Identify and share usability problems that need to be addressed across all channels; Explore new ideas and creative solutions that drive digital engagement and create positive brand perceptions; Validate concepts and designs using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research techniques; Play a key role in shaping and delivering user centric, commercially feasible solutions that deliver on team objectives; and We're a dynamic team that help each other out which means from time to time you'll be supporting compliance initiatives such as redesigning the monthly bill to meet new legislative requirements, always ensuring a customer first approach to delivering regulatory outcomes. What you'll bring Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role: Extensive experience as a UX/UI Designer; Record of delivering high quality design solutions and implementation across either web or apps; Excellent working knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Lookback, Protopie); Attention to detail; Data-informed approach to design solutions; Experience working in an agile environment; Experience with Global Experience Language/Design Systems to drive reusability, consistency, and accessibility; Ability to implement accessibility standards through an understanding of inclusive design practices; Passion for driving customer impact and contributing to team success; Ability to seek out and act on feedback from customers, while negotiating with and influencing stakeholders; Experience working in an Agile environment, working collaboratively with UX Designers, Developers and Product Owners to rapidly translate digital concepts, UX sketches and wireframes into high fidelity visual outputs and interactive prototypes; Exposure to working with, and supporting the creation of, design systems and component libraries; Ability to prepare succinct design presentations to varied audiences; Take accountability for your work and its results; and Ability to work under changing condition and able to be flexible.
