Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Contracts Manager to join their team in Melbourne, specializing in renewable energy projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the construction phase of renewable energy projects, ensuring successful execution and compliance with contractual requirements. As the Construction Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing construction contracts, mitigating risks, and driving the delivery of renewable energy assets. Key Responsibilities: Manage construction contracts for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms. Review, negotiate, and finalize construction contracts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and specifications. Develop and implement service level agreements (SLAs) with contractors and subcontractors to define performance expectations and deliverables. Collaborate with project teams to develop construction schedules, budgets, and procurement plans. Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and SLAs. Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure construction activities meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and mitigate risks during construction. Manage change orders, claims, and disputes related to construction contracts, ensuring timely resolution and cost control. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records for construction contracts, including correspondence, drawings, and specifications. Provide regular progress reports and updates to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards throughout the construction process. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed. Support the commissioning and handover of renewable energy assets to operations and maintenance teams. Collaborate with legal, finance, and procurement teams to manage contract administration and risk management processes. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the construction team and across the organization. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction contract management, preferably in the renewable energy sector. Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles. Proven track record of successfully managing construction contracts for renewable energy projects. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards applicable to construction projects. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
