Disability Support Worker. Casual - Narrabri — Tamworth, Tamworth Region

About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disabilities in Narrabri. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however, experience with personal care, manual handling and medication assistance will be highly regarded. We are currently recruiting for our Lifestyle & Community program. Shifts fall between Monday to Sunday primarily between 7am to 6pm. Ability to work flexibly is required. No overnights or sleepovers required. This opportunity allows you to structure your work schedule to fit your needs and maintain a healthy work-life balance. As part of this role, there will be the potential to convert to permanent part time in the near future as part of our current roster reviews. These permanent lines will consist of up to 50 hours per fortnight. Key Responsibilities Support clients with daily personal care such as bathing, shaving and toileting Provide mobility assistance by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully Help clients reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choice Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliant Skills & Experience An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
