This is highly unique opportunity to work as the sole Service Engineer for their Australian business Your new role Your new role will see you reporting to the site-based Operations Manager, conveniently working 9 - 5pm. You will be based in the Office and Service Centre (inner city location), responsible for collaborating with your US and European. 80-85% of all service work will be based in office, a small percentage will be field based working on two main medical devices relating to critical care. Key to your new role will be your ability to lead your day flexibly based on client requirements. With majority of your work being in the service center / office based - you will need to adhere to field based reactive and preventative maintenance as required. Being client facing, you will pride yourself taking care of your local remit being Melbourne based with local clients, along with interstate Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. Typically, one visit each state yearly approximately - but again, flexibility is key to your success. Your typical daily tasks will see you; Service duties adhering to preventative, reactive, upgrades on hardware and software; Direct onsite technical support, along with supporting third party Engineers; Manage / coordinate Device installations speaking to different stakeholders; Exceed key performance indicators and work towards continuous improvement potentially creating your own best practice initiatives; and Relevant reporting and in depth documentation. What you need to succeed Qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics and/or Electrical; Proven experience working in the medical devices industry in a similar role; Have worked in a service capacity previously and confident customer facing; Ability to travel interstate and overseas as required; Flexible with your schedule and time day to day - as client needs evolve for urgent, or preventive care in the field (hospitals); Be highly organized and have the ability to work across varied systems to report on diagnostics, and overall maintenance findings.
