The Role: We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to partner with a 67 year old male participant based in Mortdale, NSW who has a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis The current care plan in place requires support every Monday and Wednesday. The hours include: Morning shift (8:30am - 10:30am) Due the complexity of the participant, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management and hoisting OR be willing to learn these skills. Pay Rates: Day - $42.50 per hour Key Responsibilities: Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation) Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation Assistance with catheter management (including applying leg bag) Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist) Assistance with personal care Completing skin checks Eating and drinking assistance Skills & Experiences: Reliable, proactive and positive attitude NDIS Effective Communication Module Current National Police Clearance NDIS Worker Orientation Module Current NDIS Worker Screen check First Aid & CPR Certificate Australian Driver Licence Current WWCC Please note: two current references are required If you meet the above criteria and are interested in the role, hit the "Apply" button now.
