This 4-year apprenticeship will allow you to gain a Certificate III in Engineering- Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning). Our host client has over 60 years combined experience servicing local commercial, industrial, infrastructure and manufacturing across Nth Queensland involving projects in mining, marine, food processing and agriculture. Based in Innisfail, the successful candidate must reside in Innisfail or close by; be excited to learn, reliable and hard working and hold a drivers license. The apprenticeship will include: Set up machinery to enable the manufacture of engineering products Repair and replace components parts and other items Install plant and machinery Design modifications to existing components Maintenance of plant and equipment Requirements: Must have a genuine interest to enter the engineering industry Year 12 completion ideally Certificate I or II Engineering will be highly regarded but not essential Previous exposure in metal trades an advantage Understand the importance of workplace health and safety Construction White Card, or willing to obtain Be able to pass a pre employment medical including a drug and Alcohol test Who We Are?
