Must have Either PR or be an Australian Citizen Title:- Senior Azure Cloud Engineer Length:- 6 to 12 contract Location:- North Shore ROLE PURPOSE: This key role will help drive the cloud strategy while remaining very technical and hands-on. IT is a collaborative agile environment where skills, attitude, and cultural fit are all extremely important. You will work within the Infrastructure and Cloud team to deliver IT and Business projects, manage infrastructure in data centres and diverse clouds and develop mature operating models. As an infrastructure and cloud engineer, you will have a great understanding of infrastructure and cloud technologies and the coding ability to automate environment build and release processes. You will have a strong client-centric service approach. Importantly, you will help support frontline customer service teams so skills in building rapport and maintaining excellent relationships are essential. Support the continuous improvement of Customer Experience by understanding and ensuring our existing and new customers’ expectations are met or exceeded. • Be the “go to” person for all technical cloud and infrastructure related items. • Provide technical high-level system and process documentation as required. • Manage the availability and performance of all infrastructure systems. • Work unsupervised towards tasks agreed with your line manager. Essential: • At least 5 years’ experience working in a Hybrid model environment. Formal tertiary qualifications in Information Systems /Computer Science. • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2019, AD, AAD, ADFS, DNS, etc. • Knowledge and experience in building and managing cloud solutions in Azure and Office365 • Demonstrated experience with DevOps tools – GitHub, GitHub Actions, Team City, Octopus Deploy, Slack, Infrastructure as a Code, Terraforn • Experience in designing and building backup & recovery solutions – Azure and Veeam. • Proven knowledge and experience of ITIL service management concepts and practices • Solid understanding of networking principals with experience troubleshooting connectivity issues around Cloud/Inter-Cloud connections, Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. • Shared Storage experience and understanding of iSCSI fundamentals.
