About the role We are seeking ambitious Technical Services Engineers to work within our tight-knit, friendly, and high performing Snowy 2.0 technical team. Due to the geographical nature of our customer site preference will be given to candidates who currently reside in the Cooma or Canberra region, or who are willing to permanently relocate, FIFO from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide would also be considered for the right candidate. The successful candidates will support our Snowy customer site, providing technical solutions on the application of our products and technology. Our Customers look to our Technical Services Engineers to solve practical blasting challenges, allowing our people to showcase their technical skills and create discreet solutions for clients. At Orica, we have the training infrastructure and expertise within the team to train talented and ambitious engineers in Technical Blasting, therefore we are inviting applicants with all levels of engineering experience. The roster will be 14 days on 14 days off and all accommodation and meals will be paid whilst on shift. What you will be doing Providing technical support to our Customer on the safe and efficient use of our products; Providing our Customer with best practice engineering support; Managing projects to deliver value to our Customer; Working with a range of Orica's global technology teams to prioritise innovative projects; Developing long-term partnerships with Orica's Customers; Taking accountability for delivering outstanding results; Continually improving your technical expertise in our products and services. What you will bring 1-3 years engineering experience, surveying and other technical disciplines will be considered; Degree qualification in Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline; Highly developed design and IT skills are essential; An ability to work autonomously, and with limited direction as well as part of a tightly functioning team; Drive to learn and complete technical work to standard in a timely fashion; Commitment to partnering with our Customer and your team, always accountable for your actions; A mindset to always looks for better ways to deliver value.
