The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney. The scope of works is the installation of Mechanical and Electrical Services required for the operation of the road tunnels including: Installation of all High and Low Voltage Electrical Infrastructure. Installation of Intelligent Transport Systems. Installation of Communications, Public Address, Mobile Phone and Radio Rebroadcast Infrastructure. Installation of Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems. Installation of Pumped Drainage and Water Treatment infrastructure. Installation of Fire Detection and Fire Suppression systems throughout. Installation of steelwork and other supporting structures for M&E Equipment. In line with the above, ACCIONA are now looking for Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer to join the M&E Construction team. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will include the following areas of responsibility: Specific Tasks Include Procurement of supply and installation subcontracts. Installation documentation including Construction Works, Method Statements, Safe Work Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Inspection and Test Records etc. Planning and coordination of installation works both carried out by Subcontractors and Self Performing Workers. Managing construction related design change and technical queries. Site Safety & Quality Cost and Forecast Management People Management and Development Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary qualifications in Engineering preferably Electrical. Extensive skills in the management and supervision of electrical and communications systems installation, preferably within a road tunnel environment or similar construction projects.
