Quality Assurance Officer/Administrator — Carey Park, Bunbury Area

About the role This role is a perfect opportunity for someone with a strong background in administration who is now looking for a career change. We don't expect you to know this job inside and out on day 1 but you will use your transferable skills to play a pivotal role across the organisation. You will serve as a primary point of contact for all quality-related inquiries and concerns, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Officer actively monitors industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure SWAMS remains at the forefront of quality assurance practices and compliance standards. Remember you may not have already done this in a previous role but your day will include: • Facilitating the organisation's accreditation processes • Maintaining the organisation’s management system, overseeing the review, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and documentation. • Collaborating with other teams to achieve strategic quality improvement goals • Leading and participating in quality and compliance improvement projects. • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement across the organisation • Facilitate the coordination and administration of the accreditation program • Partner with leaders to develop, implement, and review accreditation plans, while also promoting quality improvement and safety activities. • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of quality improvement strategies Essential Criteria • Strong administrative skills and a high attention detail and process • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines. • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and consultation skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Desirable Criteria Certificate in quality management systems internal/external auditing. Experience working within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services. Proven experience in leading and facilitating training sessions or workshops related to quality assurance practices and processes. Demonstrated understanding and experience in quality assurance processes, particularly in health or community service settings.
